a silly question

Recently a sentence caught my attention.
Accuracy and clarity are the two requisites in translation; the former is to express the exact thought of the original, and the latter is to make the translation easily 'understood'.

Here's what I thought, all of my teachers and books said as we use the word 'make', then we should take the last verb into its original froms.

As I thought, there must be something wrong, so I looked it up in the dictionary.

Your English is very smooth there.  You seem to have improved a lot.  Great to see.

For your question, yes, you are right.  The word 'understood' is an adjective here.
This is different from 'make you understand'.

When we say:

make you understand <--- This means 'you' are the one who needs to understand something.

make you easily understood <--This means you are understood 'by someone else'.

Well, no question is silly.  Glad that you ask the question.

There are two ways to say the same thing, just like:

I opened the door.
The door was opened by me.

You may like to say, "How can I make you understand (me or what I said)." or "How can I make myself understood (by you on what I said)."  Both are similar in meaning.

my English level is really low.Just know simple word,and some easy sentence.
l want to know how can l do to make stronger in English all of skill,including writing
reading listenning and speaking.l think l need to improve reading and writing now first??
